8 Hahaha...this was awesome. I thought I'd misread it when someone mentioned an update for this on TWoP - what a pleasant surprise. This has the same sort of cringe factor that the show has (only the show never really gives us quite the happy ending that you have here...)

In my Jim-ology, he's had one serious love affair in his past, years ago...somehow it makes it more poignant for me if he kind of knows what that's like, knows what he's missing with Pam. Also, that she's the only one he's ever fallen for since...and we all know how that's worked out. Anyway, glad you're liking it!
10 First - love the title of this. (I'm a closet - well, not so much - Hall & Oates fan.) Second, what a great chapter - very believable. It's also comforting in a way to see him do something like this. Pam needs to find out, damn it. :o)

Just for fun.10 I read this as soon as you posted it, but I was at work so I didn't leave a review - had every intention of coming back and leaving one, but I didn't! I really, really love this - and you did not fall into corny territory at all. Oh no. Not at all. Sigh. The fact that he was all aching for her but was going to just let her go to sleep.....? Gulp.

10 You are brilliant - every time I read your stuff, I get almost despondent and think, "I'm never writing again, because seriously...." (I'm not kidding about that!) Really, though, I love this. Oh, and your videos???? MY GOD WOMAN, you are to blame for so many wasted hours of mine. "Love Will Come Through" is heartbreaking. My husband watched it - fully prepared to be skeptical - and when it was over, he said, "I don't know why NBC didn't just run that. Wow."
