Bio:
After being raised by feral dogs deep in the heart of Appalachia for my first 17 years, I rescued a group of imperiled socioanthopologists from certain doom at the hands of some moonshiners in an undisclosed mossy holler of my homeland. Silly with gratitude, they taught me to read and eventually, to make letters with a pencil. I'm continuing that learning process by writing fan fiction here.
As you can see, I'm still having trouble with run-on sentences and cliches. Yet I've come so far.
Oh, and I love music - especially jazz.

I just read all this at one sitting (I'm new) and I am really enjoying this story. I could see this as a real scenario for Jim and Pam.
I especially loved this - think it was in chapter 2:
Jim smiled. “Yeah, you did.” He kissed her. “What would I do without you?”
“Pine over me for three years and tell me you love me?” she answered.
Jim snorted with laughter. “Oh, Beesly.”
I'm looking forward to the next installment.

This is really cute, you get the dynamics and the voices just right. I could "see" all the expressions. *claps*
Author's Response: Thank you, jazzfan! Buying the Season 4 DVDs helped me in finding all of the characters\' voices again. I cannot wait until Season 5. I\'ve missed the Scranton gang more than ever.
It's been three years since Jim accepted the promotion to New York. After two years of silence, Pam sends Jim a gift.

Very good writing, I always wondered what might have happened if the yogurt lid hadn't done the trick.
Karen never seemed like the type that would force wedding plans, but then, maybe we didn't really know her. *grin*
I'm very interested to see what happens, especially since Pam seems to have moved on much better than Jim.
Author's Response:
Thanks, jazzfan. Yeah, maybe Karen wouldn't force wedding plans. She always did strike me as someone who gets what she wants, though. In any case, she is now conveniently GONE.
I hope you'll like the upcoming chapters as well.
Date: August 24, 2008 Title: Chapter 1: The Delivery
I'm hooked. Very interesting scenario, I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Date: September 19, 2008 Title: Chapter 1: The Delivery
I was really happy to see this one pop up tonight, but now I can't wait until the next chapter. *whines*
I especially loved the "Moosetracks moments," and I can't wait for Jim to get his tuckas to Philly.
Very cool blog, BTW.
Author's Response:
Thanks, jazzfan! No whining - I'm writing as fast as I can! I'm glad you liked the Moose Tracks moments. I was kinda partial to them, myeslf!
And thanks for taking a look at Billy's Malawi blog. I am so proud of him!

*sniff honk*
I love happy endings. I'm glad you had Jim physically come to meet her without telling her, they don't communicate well verbally and I was afraid they'd screw it up. LOL
My favorite little detail was that Jim thought the guy leaving was her boyfriend, just loved this:
But he couldn’t move. He started at the good-looking, rumpled guy, transfixed. Still trying to process why Pam would do this to him.,
And I loved that they both asked each other what took them so long.
Great job.
Author's Response:
Hey, jazzfan!
Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked Rick's cameo appearance.
So, how was college hunting??

Nice job.

Aw man, I'm in the minority that loves "the JK beard" so I think Pam should have been a little easier on poor Jim.
Fun story though! Loved the cookie bribing dad, very believeable.

This was a lovely, moody piece. I could envision Jim being in this place:
"I want that," he breathed, sounding like a child who couldn't exactly describe what they wanted for their birthday. "Whatever that is . . . I need to know what its like. But I have no idea."
. . .and when he touches her charcoal fingers. *sigh*
Well done.
Author's Response: I\'m happy you enjoyed, thanks so much for the review =)

Nice job, and great Michael characterization.
(I have to admit I've begun to sympathize with Michael's view on Toby at least a leettle tiny smidgin since he "helped" Ryan screw Jim on the performance warning thing.)
Author's Response: Yeah, I know, but I'm inclined to cut him some slack. Pam just inspires that sort of craziness, apparently! Thank you so much for reading and commenting! :)

I'm really loving these, and I think this is my favorite so far. As somebody else already said, that moment when Jim said "Yes" was one of my most favorite moments in the whole series, not just the season. So much said with one word.
I'm looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'ve got the next one outlined, based on \"Phyllis\' Wedding\". Should be up soon. I\'m glad you enjoyed this chapter. I think that scene is the most vulnerable and real that we see him in all of S3.

Oh my, this was the best chapter yet. I think you're writing the grief reactions incredibly well. The title fits.
Author's Response:
Those three words are so inspirational, jazzfan, and I'm so glad you think the title fits! Bringing Jim out of his grief and reacquainting him with the world was a challenge, but I'm pleased you think it works. I loved the last line of the second Neruda to indicate that he's ready: Let's bring the wood and make fire on the mountain. Thanks, Pablo!
Thanks so much for reading and letting me know you enjoyed - I appreciate it!

A very creative and entertaining tribute to two geniuses.
*loud ovation*
I enjoyed this so much, thanks for putting in what I'm pretty certain were long hours on this one - a labor of love, no doubt.
PS - The pic/bio of Halpert the writer made me snork big time.
Author's Response:
Truly a labor of love, jazzfan. Now that it's done and I've had a couple nights to relax, I just want to do it all over again and do it better. Ugh.
Thank you so much for reading, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it and thank you for letting me know.
Date: September 22, 2008 Title: Chapter 1: Shipping Out
Nice tribute to DFW.
I especially liked this bit:
Here in the house you could stand in her closet and bury your face in her dresses and sweaters. You didn’t have to pretend that you weren’t dead yourself and you could miss her and long for her as much as you almost couldn’t stand and not be ashamed when grief bowed your back.
Author's Response: How I love reading favorite bits, jazzfan and that was one of mine, too. One of the few that tumbled out without having to be coaxed and promised a cookie! I'm so glad you think it's a nice tribute - I definitely had some doubts going into it - whether I could do anything remotely worthy or how it might be perceived. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing and I hope to hear from you again.
I'm jumping on the happy bandwagon.

Very sweet. For some reason I could really see Jim saying this line with the stutter:
"I don't know. Never been p-pregnant myself." He stumbled over the word, his eyes glittering with a mix of amusement and utter amazement.
Also liked the ending - not a day to mess with the Beesly.
Author's Response: I love it when someone can actually picture something I've written. Thanks so much for telling me so. You made me smile. :)
