There is the obvious freckle itself.
In addition, it's really interesting to see Pam try and "explain away" her attraction to Jim, and to see how she managed to rationalize torturing him, because she had to know he was attracted to her. I've always wondered how she reconciled that in her own mind.
I can't wait for the next installment.

More good stuff! I think my favorite part (aside from the obvious sexual tension) is that a very "in character" Jim rescued her from her discomfort.

Very nice job! I liked that you didn't actually tell us what the card said, and that Pam had her "revelation" moment like Jim had in "Money." Sweet and funny, I enjoyed it.

This is beyond awesome. It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas movie, and I've often thought if they ever remade it that JK would be the best man for the Jimmy Stewart role.

An AU look at what might have happened, had Pam really thought about Jim's decision to go to Australia.I simply love this (except that I'm impatiently waiting for the next installment). I always thought Pam should have questioned Jim more about the Australia thing, and this is a very plausable way for it to play out.
She should have figured it out, by golly, he's right.
Can't wait for more.

I've been thinking of a way to continue a story I started here called "A Century Ends", but I figured out that I wrote myself into a corner that I could not escape from. So I'm taking parts of that story and incorporating them into this one. Everything that happened thru season two has happened in this "universe". But after that, aside from the fact that Jim transferred to Stamford and came back with Karen when the branches merged, it's AU. Hope you like it.
I'm very intrigued and interested to see where you go with this. Please keep going.

Author's Response: Thanks, Jazzfan! This was my very first. And I liked writing it a great deal. I enjoyed trying to write a wedding story without the words \"wedding,\" \"bride\" \"groom,\" \"Jim\" or \"Pam.\" I also liked the idea of Michael showing his soft, chewy center. Which I think is there.
I love this piece, thanks. Somehow with language, you've painted the inadequacy of language when it comes to their release of emotions at finally being able to be an "us". How'd you do that?
The last line was perfect.

I was hoping somebody would do this challenge, and you've done it so very well. Perfectly believeable, I think your Jim thoughts are spot on. (I always know when somebody's written season 2 Jim well when I want to give him a big hug and tell him to just wait a couple of years, it'll be okay.
I particularly loved this line:
