Boring can be very, very good! The way you have the bits of humor (threshold and the spider) really makes this story great for me. I'll favorite this one for sure :)

My first thought when I finished this was I didn't remember Pam saying that line. Then I realized that you had stopped quoting the episode halfway through the story! I love things that fill in one of their 'hidden moments"! and it was such a seamless transition, I can't wait to see chapter two.

That moment when Pam took a picture, after Jim cut his tie, was one of my favorite moments of the series. So a whole story about the mental snapshots, was just wonderful. And it sounds just like a conversation they would have had. How cool is it that Jim noticed her gray sweater was heavier then her normal ones, he really is too perfect:) Glad they escaped the reception early, after that day they deserve it!
Can't wait to see more of your work.

Nice work, Pam's inner dialouge was just beautiful. Even though we know it didn't end like this, I'd like to think that breakup happened just like that. Not with Roy the bad one or Pam the good one,just a realization that they wern't right for each other. I would love to see this continue.

Author's Response: Thank you! That's one of the reasons I wrote it- I feel like everyone makes Roy the bad guy, and don't get me wrong, I think he's a jerk most of the time. But I feel that somewhere along the line they both must have realized that it wasn't working, and I think they loved each other once, which is what I wanted to convey with their breakup. That they weren't the same people they used to be, not just that Roy was uncaring.

Great piece. You've captured how Jim's mind works, I really enjoyed the parts with Dwight and how Jim likes Scranton.
Only comment is this line - "and wonder what it Pam had been with him" Did you mean "what if Pam"?

Author's Response: Thanks. I've always thought Jim is a pretty simple guy regarding his wants and needs, perhaps it's because of the office he works at. So just the two things that help him cope: familiarity of Scranton, and someone he can unload on without them taking it to heart. (And I think I need to use a larger font and turn up my screen brightness from now on.)

I love so many lines in this story but my favorite is "You already know you want to see that smile everyday for the rest of your life." The banter at the beginning is great. Bonus points for including Jellybeans, Sudoku and a Dwight refrence! It's nice to think that a lot of the little things we love about Jam were there from the beginning.

It is amazing how much work can go into so few words. But it's also incredible how much emotion and vision can be packed into these same words. And that's what you've accomplished here. Great Job!

What a great present! Nan is very lucky to have you as a friend. The advice is really good, plus I like that Karen helped Pam, I've always felt kinda bad for Karen. My favorite part is "and her peace of mind standing six feet tall in the kitchen, making coffee." It's just so cute!

The whole story is worth waiting for, especially when she tells him to get off the couch from upstairs :) But the best part is this...
"Ten minutes ago, he might have freaked out alongside her. But he just quite possibly destroyed a box of their belongings and all she did was laugh and now he knows, suddenly and certainly, that they’ll tell their kids that story one day. In this house. And somehow that makes everything all right."
It just sums up everything thats right about them as a couple.
