I'm glad you didn't explain exactly what Michael did with the pineapple rings. Whatever it was, I wonder if Dwight assisted, as he often does. And if it was something he learned from Todd Packer.

Author's Response: Oh, Todd Packer. Yikes. Yes, I decided it was best to leave all of that up to the imagination. Thank you!

I was hoping that someone would use force in the Star Wars sense. I'm glad you did. It sounds like Jim has plans for his light saber.

Author's Response:

12 years ago, you left this nice comment and I didn't reply. I discovered that there is a page in the author profile on MTT that shows un-answered reviews, and several of them are from you on this particular story. My oldest daughter was born the day before you reviewed this, so I guess that's why I didn't get back to you. She is in 7th grade now!

Anyway, I'm clearing out these unanswered reviews today! So thank you, very much, for your kindness when you read and reviewed my story. My daughter ended up being a huge Star Wars fan, so maybe we were both onto something. :)

I like the series, keep them coming. This was a nice slice of life character piece.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Swedge!  You know how people are always demanding more Stanley stories, too, so...er...um... ;)  Actually, I guess this is the third Stanley-centric story I've done ("Stanley, off to the Poconos" and "MLK Jr Day" are the others).  That probably makes me Queen of the Stanley stories.

I'll keep slogging along with the holiday series; it's sort of a challenge I've made myself.  (Next up -- not a Stanley story.)  I think it's kind of nice that they're pretty different from one another.  You never know what to expect from one of these stories. ;)

Thanks for all your help, Swedge, and for reading and reviewing. :)

Summary: Jim and Pam take their children to an egg hunt at Schrute Farms one Easter. Like any time spent at Schrute Farms, it's not what they expect.

It was a lot of fun.  This story needs a sequel. I want to hear more about Angela adjusting to farm life, dealing with animals and Mose.  What other names are there for the farm animals? And who can run faster, Mose or Angela?  We need to find out some day.

Author's Response:

I wonder if Angela now runs like Mose.  I saw a Youtube video of some kid talking about how to run like Mose.  I didn't watch for very long, though, because he just didn't get to the point fast enough.  I'm an impatient Youtube watcher.  I think Angela was going to catch up with Mose eventually and wallop him a bit.  Dwight didn't seem too concerned, though.

I hope at some point (on the 'real' show) we get more of a picture of Angela and Mose's relationship.  There was just that deleted scene in Money where Jim and Pam asked Mose about Angela and he just said "Angela?" in sort of a pitiful voice.  What was going on there?  I have the feeling Angela was a mother figure to him.  I'd love to see a scene with the two of them in it, even if they were on the periphery.  My other more wild theory is that Mose has a raging crush on Angela and there's a weird sexual tension going on there.  Maybe an asexual tension, if there is such a thing.

I don't think I'm going to write Angela adjusting to farm life, but if prior stories are any indication, I'm probably not done with Mose, Dwangela, and Schrute Farms.  I bet I've put Mose in more stories now than anyone.  I think that just makes me odd, so I shouldn't noise it about. ;)

The farm animals are all named very simply by Angela, with a human name and their animal type.  Chicken Jane, Sammy Rooster, etc.   Angela doesn't have that wild an imagination, after all.

Thanks for reading (again) and reviewing, Swedge. :)

Summary: A long time ago on TWoP, I suggested an Out Of Character Bad!Fic. It occurred to me recently that April Fool’s Day is a good day to have the Office characters act like they would never act and say things they would never say. Here’s a series of Out Of Character Talking Heads, each one unrelated to the others.

Ha! You sneak. That was a lot of fun.

Author's Response:

And way, way more fun to write than working on that other thing I'm working on!  Not that I spent much time on this one.  I did think it would be more fun for you to read it than to beta it, though, and I didn't worry too much about every little thing because -- it's Bad!Fic, it's intentionally out of character, I don't have the time, it's all in good fun -- you know, is that enough? Should I keep going? (/Toby)

Thanks for reading and reviewing, Swedge, and for all the beta work on this holiday series.  Little did you know when I came up with this idea that it would mean all this extra beta-ing. :)

Summary: In order to fit a Passover story into my Holiday series, I’ve decided Marjorie, that little-seen Dunder Mifflin employee, is Jewish. This odd little story, only 2 drabbles long, provides an answer to one of the remaining mysteries of The Office.

When I first read this, the surprise level wouldn't have fit in a rowboat.

Author's Response:

Would your surprise level fit in some sort of a larger boat?  It bothers me that you're not answering the question. ;)  I love that scene, and especially Phyllis's response.

But seriously, I don't think I had given you any clues, so I'm sure it was a surprise. ;) Just more proof that I'm sort of odd, right?  Expect the unexpected.

Thanks for reading (again) and reviewing, Swedge!

That was hilarious! Great job and I hope you do something else sometime even if it's a different sort of thing.

They were all funny in different ways. Angela's really got to me. I kept waiting for it to turn nice and it didn't.

And the bowflex is Jan's?!

Author's Response:

You know, after all the feedback I've received on this I might be addicted to it, and might be forced to write something else.  But then again it might be better to go out on a high note.

I think I read somewhere that there had been two bowflexes (sp) so I'm going with the idea that they had his and hers and the hers got torched.

"Angela's really got to me. I kept waiting for it to turn nice and it didn't."

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel about Angela on the show.  That lady is heartless!  (See: ice cream on side of Andy's car for an example.) Except when it comes to animals, which is where she is redeemed in my eyes!

Thanks so much for the lovely comments!

Author's Response: Definitely.  But there'd be hell to pay if they admitted it to Angela. ;)

This reminds me a little of the Adventures with Angela videos except you wrote this long before those.  Fun little moment. Good job.

Author's Response:

And believe it or not, I still haven't seen those! :)  I know, I'll get to it at some point.

Thanks so much for reading (for the nth time) and reviewing! :)

Nicely done. That was sweet and realistic, more so than what happened on the episode.

Author's Response:

I'm especially glad you liked it, Swedge.  Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.

And that episode, especially the Parking Lot of Doom discussion at the end with Pam's namby-pamby "what do you mean?"  Grr...

It was like "somebody took my heart and dropped it into a bucket of boiling tears... and at the same time, somebody else is hitting my soul in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer... and then a third guy walks in and starts punching me in the grief bone..."  Yeah.  Like that.  It was really difficult to see that scene for quite a while. ;)

At least they're together now.  (Maybe.)
