This is SO funny! I love that it's short and precious and just them being silly together. I also love that Pam changed his ringtone :) so happy! I hope your week gets better!!!

I love this for many reasons, but what I love the most is that you ended the conversation with "I think I am!" That's such an awesome throwback to Casino Night. I love stories about Pam's Mom and it's great to think about how she'd feel about them going out on a date. This is really wonderful :) 

Author's Response: Thanks so much.  Originally I had written the "I think I am" line earlier in the story...but as I read through it I thought it would be a really nice way for Pam to end this particular conversation with her mom.  Glad you appreciated it.

oh my goodness!!! that's so exciting! i love how you put this right after The Initiation b/c they're already on that high from talking to each other so they just naturally reach out and connect again without even realizing it. This was good stuff!

WHAT?! she told him she loves him! that's a BIG DEAL!! seriously? wow. that was all kinds of intense. and right before Phyllis's wedding too??? oh my gosh. can't wait for more! 

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! so that was intensely wonderful.  I can NOT believe Jim jumped across the table at Brian and I can NOT believe they filmed it!!! grr!!! stupid network people! but i LOVE FlonkerTed and the fact that he basically told Jim the truth about SweaterGirl! yay! basically, I love it. I can not WAIT to see where you take this. 

haha i love that in jim's distress at the end he calls her Pam!  I really loved getting to learn more about the other people in the chat, and seeing how Jim and Pam have inspired Leikha to continue pursuing her dreams. I like the kind of flashback feel, and the task was, of course, preciously awesome! I can't wait to see what you have in store for/with Dwight!!!

Author's Response: I was worried the task might have seemed a bit lame, but it just tied in too well with why in the world they might have gone up to the roof that night.  Thanks for the review - they really do encourage me to continue.  :-)

i love that this didn't end completely fluffy and sugary, ya know? Jim was awkward at first, just like i'm sure many dad's are the first time they hold their kid. it's comforting. it fits with the rest of this amazing piece of fic. :) great job!

i love it. i definitely like the hug because this is before all the questions are answered and everything is easy.  but it's still loving and sweet. anyway, there are a lot of things i like about this like the attention to detail and his desire to make this special but make her laugh.  it's a GREAT first fic!!!

I've never watched X-Files. I was a chicken when I was a kid. it freaked me out. that's not important. What is important is that I love this.  I love how you write the characters, I love their voices and their conversation and the story's just really interesting.  I'm frustrated that Jim is being ridiculous, but then I remind myself that in this time frame that's sensible.  And what would Jam be without a little angst? just bffs. anyways, I will be anxiously awaiting updates. sorry my review's so long but i've been storing it up over 4 chapters. :)

Also, I love that you're reading this even though you've never seen the X Files and that you're still enjoying it!  I've been a fan for like eight years or something, so it's hard for me to step outside of myself and see whether the fic is readable to someone who's never seen the show.  I'm so glad it is.  Also sorry about the angst ;-) Warning? It'll probably get worse before it gets better.  But once it's better it's gonna be REALLY good.  (it's a promise)  Thank you again for the review!!!!

i love that your blip from local ad is about CREED! i really love all of these, it's pretty cool. they're some of my favorite moments from these episodes. Jan's feet on the train were seriously one of the sweetest things i've ever seen. i like this :) 

aww! i love it! it's never in a million years what you would have imagined.  of course i think you did a good job of taking all of the characters out of their normal context and wondering what they wanted as little kids.  and i think it's realistic to think that Jan wanted to be the receptionist  because obviously there's a part of her that's always super dissatisfied with what she had become, and there's a part of her that wants simplicity (that's why she's in love with michael!) wow i will STOP psychoanalyzing these FICTIONAL characters....

Author's Response: Psychoanalyze away! That's the real joy of fanfiction for me, especially with stories like this one. You have to think about what the characters might have been thinking at a certain moment, and it's just really fun for me to try to get inside their heads and understand their motivations. I'm glad you think I pulled it off with this one. I really wanted to keep them in character, but still have them be little kids and be all hopeful and idealistic like little kids are. Anyway, thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the story!
