"He used to dream about her all the time."
I was prepared to end up sad but you surprised me beautifully! Thank you!
Author's Response:
Thank you!!! I want our Jim to be happy. He deserves it:)
So this started in my mind as a little one shot (cue mocking laughter). Of course it expanded to a little more. It's pure speculation on my part, and is probably quite off. :o)

My apologies girl7, thought I already submitted a review. You have a couple going right now and my fic addled brain is starting to confuse show with fic with deleted scenes with speculation! Anyway, loved this as usual. Dancing is a good way to get them to stand close and then the touching can begin!
"And there was the 'possible way'." There's not a single thing hot about those 6 words until you put them together. Thank you for doing that!
Author's Response:
Ha! You are welcome. I appreciate it:)
"Does Kurt's mom have her own train?" Wow, fluff and humor? I think I'm going to enjoy this ride!
Author's Response: I hope that you do! Thanks Par5!
Bless your fluffy heart! You know how to make those evil visions of Jim and, um, that other girl disappear right out of my mind. Love Dwight, love Jim, a total lovefest IMHO! And I love that you're making up words for Dwight. You must have a bad case of pretendinitis...
Author's Response: I haven't even seen Jim and "the girl" yet myself. I couldn't watch am away from home and dang iTunes hasn't listed the episode yet. But I am glad that I was successful in my "mission". :)
I love how the Halpertette is the one who goes after what she wants and little Schrute is the shy one. Thank goodness she has learned from the example of her parents!
Author's Response:
She's not going to make the same mistakes her mother did - at least not if I have anything to say about it! LOL!
SIGH.
This follows most of the episodes from a different standpoint, adding more Angst to already Angsty Pam and Jim love story. If that's even possible. Pam is obviously unhappy and she begins to see things different with each passing episode.
Nice beginning! You've captured the Jim/Pam misery and camaraderie well.
Co worker misery is the easiest thing to write. LOL. Especially if you hate you job most days.
Very nice! There always seems to be a lot lurking just under the surface of Jan and you've done a good job putting a finger on it.
Author's Response: Thanks:)
This picks up pre-merger and is spoiler free, a bit AU as well. I began this back in October (maybe even September), and obviously the show has deviated quite a bit from what I speculated here.
This begins with angst, but there is a great deal of fluff, steam, smut, and silly...for several, several chapters. My idea was to go beyond the happy ending, so to speak.

No, I really liked you having her face up to Roy and letting him know it was over. Now she needs to tell him she's with Jim and the sex is better! Hee! I'm so cruel to Roy... But you were gentle! TWSS.
Author's Response: Heh heh heh. :o) Poor Roy - I'm a sucker for the sad eyes, I guess. Thanks for reviewing!
Aw, geez. I feel so warm and melty inside! Although I did LOVE your/Pam's tirade against being a generic mom! This was just a really nice, loving portrait of Jim and his family. Now if we could merge your version of Larissa with Moxie's Oracle Mom and get her on the show tout de suite, we'd solve this Jim/Pam problem in no time. Thanks girl7!
Girl7, don't hate the fluff. And I don't find this overly sweet and silly - it's nice that they have fears about meeting the other's family, that Jim still has his insecurities about whether or not Pam is really ready for a commitment, and what has 2 thumbs and loves Jim Halpert? Old ladies! Nice!
Yes! Happy place is good! Stay in your happy place and keep us angst free for a few days. And who doesn't love Jim the fearless, defending young ladies from insects of all kinds.
"It’s those things that made me just…fall so ridiculously in love with you" GUH, SQUEE, and many other superlatives. Can't wait to see what follows this!
If I were a smoker, I'd be lighting one up right about now. How much wine did you have, girl? Hee!
Thank you for giving into the group whining and posting this chapter! Would it be too ungrateful of me to whine for chapter 8 now? Just kidding!!!! Sort of...
I've got to echo proposals here and just marvel at how prolific you are! Yeesh! Anyway, although it pains me that Jim is in such obvious denial, I know a fluffy steamy ending will eventually come. And they'll be in the sack approximately 3.2 minutes after getting back together!
Author's Response:
You kill me! I will say this: This story came to me with a sort of vision of the ending first. ....And that ending actually stems from the discussion on TWoP about how the time it takes for them to jump in the sack has steadily decreased over the course of my stories.
....And I'll say no more! Thanks for the review - you're awesome!
Of course, I'm over the moon about the proposal! I just have to crack up about "Chasing Cars" again. My husband keeps hitting repeat when that song plays in the car and I secretly laugh because he has NO IDEA that you've permamently burned that song into my brain associated with steamy Jam thoughts! And while I may possibly be the only person with a vagina who hates "SATC", I think it's hilarious that Jim has a working knowledge of the show. You do so know how to brighten my day!
Bless your heart for posting this last night! After I wrote the Jim/Karen thing I felt.... a little unclean so thanks for clearing my mind of the bad thoughts!
Author's Response: Oh, you did a beautiful job! I really enjoyed it:) Fluff was all I could muster after last night:)
Thank you for writing something that seems so true about Karen and how Jim could feel that still leads ultimately back to Pam. We don't choose who we love and you've portrayed the pain of that beautifully.
He had come here to make a fresh start, so he decided to make an effort. Spoilers through "The Coup," unspoiled speculation thereafter.
Can I just tell you that I love you? That was perfect!
You can tell me that every day and twice on Sunday, sweetie. Love you, too! I'm glad you liked it.
Interesting POV. It leaves me wanting more and I'm not sure if you intend to continue but what will Pam do next? Favorite line -"a man shouldn't get dumped without pants on". Words to live by really!
Jim's been away. Now he's back. Pam realizes what she's missed. No spoilers - just speculation and much wishful thinking.
I added Karen as a character in the story - since she's mentioned.
Thanks for this, my dear! I still feel like I need more doses of Jam-centric fic - and possibly an IV infusion of the stuff - to reverse my current despair. It does feel like something that can truly happen in an ep and I sincerely hope it does. In other news- have you seen The Coup yet???
Author's Response:
You are most welcome. I'm with ya. Maybe it will happen that way - maybe it won't...it just HAS TO HAPPEN.
And yes - finally watched. And Jim's adorableness knows no bounds - no matter who he's flirting with. :(
Perhaps, even though she hates to put it into words so bluntly, perhaps Michael is just better than nothing. Jan before Casino Night.
Very nice! I think we finally have a plausible reason for why Jan would have entertained staying over when she clearly finds Michael so awful in the light of day. Good insight into Jan.
Author's Response: Thanks:) I guess I needed a reason, too, so I wrote it:)
Oh holy hell. And people have been accusing ME of hurting them with the whole Jim/Karen scenario? Yikes, I think this one hurt worse! Touche, my dear! (and curse my Mac for not allowing me to place the accent on 'touche'!) ;-)
Author's Response: Yeah, Mac blows. Kidding! Thanks, Par5 ;)
Okay, Puff, I'm all worked up now! Pam's just settling again for Roy. She has one bad date and he's right there so they fall back into old patterns? A zebra don't change his stripes sweetie! But you gave me hope again when Jim came back. Maybe she'll do the right thing FINALLY! Nice job.
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing!
