Loved these two, can't wait for the third!! I like how you got the whole office involved in this, b/c realistically they would have been - none of them keep much to themselves.

Author's Response: Thanks! You're right, they always get in each other's business...

Wow...I registered just so I could comment on this series. I love this so much. The writing style fits so perfectly with the content. The short sentences match fleeting thoughts. And one of my favorite things is the dual POV's in every chapter and the hello/goodbye cues. You did a really good job matching their feelings and Pam's growth. Not only has she become independent, but she understands Jim better than before. You took two already close characters and made them inseperable. My absolute favorite chapter was the part with the phone call (The Initiation?). I wanted to stop and review that part but couldn't stop reading. You nailed the angst and anxiety and comfort. You've probably heard this before, but I've been in that situation before - loving a very close friend and having to find that familiar routine after a period of separation. During nearly every conversation we had there were hello/goodbye moments that I relieve and regret. I never managed to get to fancy new beesley status, unfortunatley. The point of the digression was to thank you for describing it in a way that I never could and tell you that it was freakishly accurate. The only negative I have is that I would have liked a Jim POV in Chapter 7. I understand why you didn't include one, but I would have enjoyed seeing your take on how Jim felt/thought during Pam's infamous speech. Sorry this is so long and scattered, I haven't yet had time to sit and think about my reaction to this series clearly, this is written in a flurry of pure enjoyment. By far my favorite that I've read here (and that's a lot). Absolutely can't wait until the last chapter is added!!!!! Awesome job!!!! Please keep writing

Author's Response: Wow. You just completely floored me. I cannot believe this story was enough to prompt you to go through the trouble of registering but I\'m extremely glad, and flattered that it was. I\'m still re-reading what you said in disbelief to be honest. I\'m new to The Office and I fell in love with this pairing pretty much instantly. I have so many ideas for fics but whenever I sat down to write I couldn\'t seem to start. When I did, this style came out and luckily it worked out perfectly for the story. More than anything, the story started as a way for me to go through, look back at the episodes and understand the pairing better. I decided to share it on a whim and I\'m so glad people have enjoyed it and found it believable. As for chapter seven, I really wanted a Jim POV too but I decided a while back that it should be all Pam in the way that Casino Night is all Jim. Still, I promise you\'ll find a bit of Jim reflecting on Pam\'s speech in Chapter 8. Again, thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to leave me a comment, and such a long one as well. I can\'t tell you how much it means to know that people are reading and enjoying. Thanks :)

A few stray tears and a lot of goosebumps later, I am here to tell you that this was absolutely brilliant!!! In my opinion, you have revealed the very core of both characters. I love:

She gives him the time that he couldn’t bear to give her.

Even so, she hates him for taking it.

I was mad at Pam for so long until I realized how much Jim was asking of her, too many implications for a single moment. This has been my absolute favorite story and you are a very talented author. I sincerely hope you continue writing here.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind, positive comments. I\'m really you responded to this story and felt it to be a good exploration of the characters. Since I\'m new to this fandom, I feel like know I\'ve got this all down I can go on with more fics about the pairing. Thank you so much :)

I've loved this whole series!! I'm a little sad it's over. It's great to read season 4 fluff, we've had so much angst that this is refreshing.

Really cute. The little insight into Angela's feelings was great. We're used to Angela being cold and hard, it was nice for you to show that she's aware of how she comes off, but is almost too scared to change that perception.

This chapter is more depressing than the previous one because she's so happy and we all know that tomorrow won't be wonderful.

Author's Response: Sorry about the depression- you're absolutely right, of course! I always let myself get carried away, and often get disappointed, so I guess I channeled that into Pam's situation, here. I hope it wasn't so depressing that you stop reading- I promise it gets cheerier. Thank you for commenting!

I loved that line in your Hello/Goodbye story and this was just so amazing. I was going to paste my favorite parts, but that would pretty much be everything. I love when he describes being a fool in the early days, haven't we all been there before? And "While she was still Beesly, he could still be himself," made my heart ache a little and I don't know why, except it is such a beautiful line. Ooohhhh, and the way you descibed the way Jim talks to Pam and Karen was nothing short of brilliant. I've said it before but you're an amazing writer. You have a very distinct style that is such a pleasure to read. And your ability to express such psychological and emotional depth in such short clips in just...wow. Can't wait for the next one!!!!

You did a really nice job with this. It's really easy to make Karen into a villian or bitch, but you didn't go there. This is the first Karen POV that I've enjoyed because she was so realistic...regretful and bitter, but not overly so. Best line, in my opinion:

"But maybe it never really occurred to her that he’d be just as happy with reality as he was with fantasy."

Author's Response: Thanks, iheartcreed (nice username, by the way!).  Yeah, I think it's a conscience-soother to paint Karen as a villain or bitch, but ultimately not as real as recognizing that she's just as human (and empathetic and flawed) as the rest of them.  Thanks for the review!
