WOW. I had goosebumps the entire time I was reading this story. Most of the post Chair Model fic I've read has been focusing on the proposal so it's great to get a different perspective.

This strikes me as different from your previous stories, but equally as good. When I read it, it seems choppy or jumpy but in a very smooth coherent way, lol, which makes no sense. But by jumping from the initial frenzy of the first few days to the quiet, from tense confession to calming love you've managed to perfectly capture the emotions of that week. I like the repetition of sunlight and feeling heartbeats, it sets a very specific mood - even though it is a very intimate setting, with Jim and Pam being the only two people in the world, I can feel that lazy afternoon. Can feel its security and love. Just like Jim, I want to keep checking to make sure its real. You did a great job of working though old wounds (the missed art show, her lack of contact) and beginning to tackle the ambiguities of the future. It's hard to descriminate, but I'll say these are the best two lines, both make me a little misty eyed reading them in isolation because they are just beautifully written.:

It’s perfect because it’s not just everything he dreamed, it’s just everything.

All the pieces he used to cobble together to feel complete are bundled up in her now, and it should be frightening but it’s not at all.

That Wednesday just kicked my ass too!! Very well written story, love that they're so happy they really are only getting out fragmented sentences, but are still on the same page as one another. And that paragraph that starts "And today was just a Wednesday..."? Wow, golden. Gave me chills it was so good. Short and simple, but perfectly characterizes they're relationship and is so touching. Well done!

This was so good, we get fluff, Michael drama, and a darker/worried side of Jim. Love it!!!

The fluff was great!! I love how you packed so many details into the beginning to make us feel how long those few minutes were!!

whooo, that's heavy, but I LOVE it. I've read a lot of first date fics, but this seems totally original. I like that you didn't let either of them get bogged down in how much the past hurt and that you let Pam address how much she was hurt when he left. That last paragraph really blew me away though, gave me goosebumps.

I really like that Jim didn't give in to her crying, a lot of other fics do. Love the line He had his life sitting in his arms. Very well done, can't wait to finish reading.

Lovely mixture of clingy Jim fluff and humor. I've never laughed so hard at the first paragraph before. Good job!!
