10 Great fic! Sweet and rewarding! I love that it was realistic in that they didn't hop in bed together, but it also wasn't dragged out in a way that made me want to throttle them! ;)
I decided to write a sequel to Charcoal & Watercolors !!!!
The story picks up right about where Charcoal & Watercolors left off -- Jim and Pam's wedding. Then goes from there into their future. Jim still works at the advertising company and Pam works (exclusively) at a publishing company where she is an illustrator of children's stories.
I added a few more characters ;) and am planning on keeping almost all of the characters from the previous story.

10 Okay, I just finished reading this story and "Charcoal and Watercolors." They were both AMAAAAZING. It's always so fun to stick Pam and Jim in a Dunder Miffinless world and see what happens. I'm only sad that this is not finished and concerned about the chances for an update, seeing how long it's been. Please, please continue!

10 Yay! I'm so glad you updated! I've been catching up on all my fanfic reading and I was so stoked to see more of this amazing story. I'm glad Larissa is doing better, I think Jim really needed something to help give him faith and now he can have more hope for his dad's recovery. I'm sure you have family and friends and work and all that... but I want more updates stat PLEASE!!!

Thank you, Pamalamadingdong! I'm not sure that I'll get another chapter up before we leave for Africa to see Young Blood on March 9 ... but we are taking the laptop with us. I'll have a LOT of time on planes to write! (Let's see, DC to London, London to Cape Town, Cape Town to Johannesburg, Johannesburg to Kruger, Kruger to Johannesburg, Johannesburg to Blantye, Johannesburg to London, London to DC. Whew, my butt is going to be sore but I will SURELY have time to write!) I'll have some access to email, so I will be able to send drafts to my betas and hopefully still get a few chapters up. I think there are just 2 or 3 till we get to the point where I have some that are just about in the can. So, hang tight! I'm doing the best I can!

And I actually did ok on morphine. I mean, I told the nurse she didn't have to worry about me and I'd take care of myself (and "Love ya!" as she left the room) and I kept saying my tongue was gigantic... but it was nothing compared to how I thought the Travelocity gnome was following me around once I was on Lortab. ;) Keep it coming!

Ihad Lortabs, too and man, I LOVED it! On the last night of our church's mission trip to help with a rebuilding project after Katrina, I broke my ankle in three places. A plate and 10 screws are now embedded in my lower left leg. I can't remember all the painkillers I got, but I DEFINITELY remember the Lortab. It is, hands down, my drug of choice! Mr. Blood called my Lortabs "Mr. Happy Pill." I loved everybody, appreciated everybody, gushed my affection for anyone who came anywhere near me. A few weeks on Lortab later and, believe me, I can understand how someone could get addicted to narcotics.
10 Wow! I have enjoyed me a Ryan/Pam fic before... but you actually got me to root for them over JAM! I think you did what every author should aspire to do; you took the characters and kept them true to the people we know from the show but with different circumstances, they end up in a different place than the show might take them. I think where you got me was the with Pam and Jim loving the idea of each other more than the real thing. On the show, I absolutely believe they are the best people for one another... but on the show, Jim DID come back when Stamford closed and Pam and Ryan never really had that one-on-one time in the supply room that led to everything else.
Anyway, I very much enjoyed reading this and never could quite figure out what I wanted, I felt so bad for Ryan but how could I not want Pam with Jim? Great job!

10 I almost felt sorry for Pam being sans Jim, then I remember I am always sans Jim, so... yeah, it sucks. But the story rocked. And I would have LOVED an Arrested development reference. Another story, another time, maybe?

Pam is outraged after her favorite show releases a disappointing season finale, so she calls Jim to vent. Not-so-subtle spoilers for "Goodbye, Toby".10 These stories rock. You should make them into a series and call them "The JOLLY Adventures of Pam and the Arrtard." Or something.

10 Aww... so lovely! Even now, when Jim & Pam have finally gotten it together and things have turned out quite nicely... I find myself wishing it had happened this way. If it had, we might me a the Jam babies stage!

10 Oh, this story was soooo awesome! You got me on a Jammer level and also, I am a huge Disney fan. Unfortunately, I am also a new first-time homebuyer so I doubt I will be going any Disney parks anytime in the near future.
Anyway, the story was hilarious. The characterization of everyone was dead on. In Judy, you created a character that was extremely likeable and I actually cared about. You rock!
10 Oh, I loved this story! I so wish we had a scene like this in the show... I guess they had more fun torturing us, huh? Oh well, in my mind this is a deleted scene!
10 I just read this story (so far) and it's really awesome. Very different from the show's overall lighthearted tone and I'm digging it! Just one request? Please don't let harm befall the as-yet-unnamed puppy. I couldn't take it!

Let me assure you, no puppies will be harmed in the playout of this story (though he does figure into the plot in an important way). It isn\'t the pup you should be worried about. I\'ve sort of bounced between very lighthearted/silly (Smiling and Satisfied) and very very dark (Timing is Everything) when writing here - I love trying on different scenarios for these characters - not necessarily in the genre of the actual series. 10 OMG... just read all of this (so far, since it's not yet completed) and it is soooo good. I love the concept and the actual story, but just as it was getting to the point that I had been waiting for... nothing! Please continue this, please??
10 OMG... I know I am a bit late to the party, but I had to tell you that I LOVE this story. It gave me a super Ked craving (I actually just bought four pairs) but it was worth it. I love AU because I often wonder "what if" and it's so fun to explore it. I think Pam and Jim have a realistic (in other words, not perfect) relationship and I've loved reading about it. Now... on to the sequel!
10 Yay, I am all caught up and this story rocks!!!! I am just, dying for more. And when this story is over, I NEED another one. Seriously. The first story was all about the meeting and courtship and getting engaged and the second story is about settling into adult lives and getting married. The third story can be about having babies and I'll figure something out for the fourth, don't you worry!
Seriously, this story is amazing. It's touching and sweet and sometimes angsty, very realistic and often hilarious. This quote:

10 I am LOVING this story. I have honestly wondered on more than one occasion how things might have turned out had Jim met Pam first, or at least before he actually had. Anyway, you're doing a fab job and I very much anticipate the next chapter and the third date! Bow-chicka-bow-bow!!!

10 This story was so adorable and sweet. I like the subtle hints that the girl in the photos was Pam as a kid. It's something we'll never see on the show... but I wish we would!
All her life, Pam's felt invisible. That's all about to change. An AU take on Beach Games.10 This story was great! You really highlighted an aspect of Beach Games that might have been overlooked by many (or maybe not, what do I know?) which is how Pam's isolation was magnified by her assigned task for that day and how it led her to take that coal walk and to give that amazing speech. You totally got in her head and created this awesome story - do not mistake me, I LOVED the way you ended her evening!
Oh, and am I reading too much into it, or is it supposed to be a little ironic that while Pam is dealing with everyone being oblivious to her existence... she's oblivious to Toby's feelings?
