I love this. It's a great introspective into Karen (I LOVE her. so much.), and I like that you haven't made this about her pining, or fighting to get her way, but just...being. And somehow being the one that loves and loses.

Author's Response: Well, I had "Like a Virgin" by Madonna stuck in my head for the better part of this chapter so, I just had to throw a virgin reference in there...plus there was this horrifying image of Steve Carrell shirtless going on...I can't tell you how, but it was there. And it scared me a little. Oh, and you're welcome so much!

Okay, can I just say that as someone who's had their stuff displayed at an art show, I TOTALLY understand Pam right now. And the version that you've written...having all the personal stuff in drawers? Yeah, that's me.
It's the hardest thing in the world to put yourself outthere like that and there's a lot of people who just won't do it.
I love that there's multiple versions of the emails as well.
