A lovely little story.  Very, very cute.  I did think that the small conflicts between Jim and Pam felt a little forced--if you're going to write fluff, don't be afraid to write fluff!  And believe me, this is great fluff.  Also, the Creed chapter, while definately Creed, felt out of place.

But these are really minor things.  It was a nice set.  And extra brownie points for one of the all-time greatest titles.

I think the word "brilliance" is a great one-word summary of my personal feelings on this piece.  It's definately one of my all-time favorites.  The best part for me is that this feels like something the writer's just haven't written yet.  This could be expanded into an entire episode (although I do enjoy how short and sweet it is.)

An extra thought: should you ever feel the need to update this one, might I suggest throwing in some Andy and Karen?  Maybe some Toby?

Author's Response: You know - I wrote this over the summer and it was at first - alot shorter than even this.  Those are great suggestions - and perhaps as the season progresses I'll update.  It would be fun to write Andy and Karen.  I haven't really done that yet. :)

A very lovely story.  It accomplishes several thing--it's honest, it's well written, and it feels like Jim and Pam.  This is dialogue that I could hear from these two.  My only real criticism of the story is that it doesn't do anything extravegantly daringl, but that shouldn't be considered a huge problem.  It's a short, well-done character piece, and in that vein, I think you are to be highly commended.  Keep up the good work.

What a lovely story.  This is definately one of my favorite all time adaptations.  What's particularily rewarding about The Paper Bride is that it takes a common idea--using characters in a story setting that is not their own--and really adapts it well.

One of the hardest things about adaptations is allowing the characters to truly feel like they are a part of the story and to allow the characters room to be themselves.  This story does that fabulously.  I was also thrilled to see the story pulled off set in The Office itself.  That is something definately to be proud of.

I generally think the earlier scenes were better written.  Towards the end, the characters seemed to conform more and more to the original Princess Bride.  I also felt like the whole story was hastily written and if it had a thorough once over, it would be perfect, but that's a really really minor point.  Keep up the good work.

P.S. I'm a huge fan of the Princess Bride.

Author's Response: Thanks for the constructive criticism, Dooflegna. Once NaNoWriMo is over, I may do a once-over on several stories here. Glad you liked it!

This is a wonderful story.  The twist, for me, came completely unexpected.  I was dialed in for a tiny bit of angst and Jim planning another man's wedding...  Even up to the very last minute with mention of Roy's waverunners... then all of a sudden, no, here they are, getting married.

So well done, really well done.  The only small hiccup in it was the part with Roy, which seemed unnecessary.  But otherwise, a fabulous fic.  Great job!!

To anyone wasting time reading this review, stop what you are doing and read.

This is one of the best written and most wondefully fluffy pieces of fluff ever written.  This has earned a place in my all time favorite stories spanning the many different genres and fandoms for over ten years.  I absolutely loved it.  It's closer to capturing the basic essence of what fanfiction is (and, more importantly, what it can be) then almost anything I've ever read.

In the words of one syllable: My dear, you rock.

Author's Response:

Wow.  It's funny - I initally wrote this as a diversion tactic - to keep myself from speculating too much about S3.  It was so much fun to write and I'm partial to fluff - so there was no way this story wasn't going to be chock full of it.

You've absolutely made my morning - quite possibly my week with your kind words. :)  Thanks so much for reviewing!   I'm so very glad you liked it.

This is another really nice piece.  Getting into the minds of the characters is something I always approve of, especially when you turn classically unsympathetic individuals into tragic cases.  My only wish was that it wasn't quite so obvious from the start who was speaking it through.  I see the parallels, but at the same time, I'd like to be surprised again.  Maybe I'm just on a watch after reading your last story.  This was still great, though, keep it up : )

I think this is a really adorable piece.  It isn't particularily remarkable, but it's certainly cute enough.  Sometimes, I was a bit lost in the paragraphs.  I think it's a combination of flow and too little variance, but you've got a great start.  Keep up the good work.

This is definately a story I can get behind.  I'm going to reserve further judgement until it's complete, and I am very anxious to see it completed.

I would love to see a tiny bit more length, but I also enjoy restraint in authors, and I certainly wouldn't like to see you start adding unnecessary bits.  You've got a good instinct, especially around your dialogue.  Keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing! I actually cut out a whole opening sequence between Micheal and Dwight, which explains the little mistake in the story of 'Micheal and Dwight emerge from the office' somewhere in the middle there. But yeah, it was weighing it down a bit. Hopefully the other chapters will be at a more satisfying length. (TWSS!)

Again, thanks!

I was just rereading The Fates Are Laughing and I came across the title of a book that would be a perfect inclusion sometime during this story: Outwitting Squirrels: 101 Cunning Stratagems to Reduce Dramatically the Egregious Misappropriation of Seed from Your Birdfeeder by Squirrels.  So you should use that somewhere down the line.  Because that'd be awesome.

Okay, this is seriously one of the nicest fics I've read in a while.  For one, it's written beautifully, but you already know that I enjoy your writing.  The best part about this fic is that you remember and recognize that Karen is a real person--she's all the women out there in the world who are NOT Pam, but still good, decent individuals with real hearts and real feelings.

Because, wouldn't you want to hold onto Jim Halpert?  I'd want to hold on to Pam.

Congrats to you, my dear Ms. Wendy Blue,
You've made a fic that stands both good and true.
