Yup, it’s a post-Cocktails fic! With a bit of a twist. Karen does a bad thing, and Jim is about to suffer the consequences…oh I loved the end, my favorite after jealous!jim is out of control Jim and you captured him perfectly. Loved it, a perfect ending. The amazing thing about this story was that throughout we were never assured of a happy ending and yet this was so perfect and sweet.

I'm glad he kissed her, but Pam's tasks are ridiculous, the man just told you he was in love with you and that he went as far as making up an alternate persona just to talk to you because he missed you! If I were Pam I would have jumped his bones five minutes into the breakfast, well then again if I was pam I would have jumped his bones during the pilot.
Believe it or not I actually fell in love with my husband after one dinner and three months of online chatting. So I totally know the appeal of online flirting! Gah! More please, I know you won't make this too easy for them but I LOVE the chat scenes!
Author's Response: I can believe it, because I met my husband online and we spent months apart with IRC our main mode of communication. I guess that's why I felt the need to use it as a tool for our love birds. Hope you like the upcoming chapters!!
ok you've officially made up for being a tease in this last chapter. Kiss her damnit (not you Moxie, although that would make for an interesting story). Kiss her now! A woman just doesn't casually admit that her favorite color in the whole WORLD is the color of your eyes, she says it because she means it.
ugh, can I say that I'm annoyed by Pam, I'm sure Jim finds her adorable, but I just want to strangle her! I'm usually the biggest pro-pammer out there, but seriously...he's been crazy about you for YEARS and not even a kiss? Come on! Jim you can do better! Author's Response: Wow, the saddest? I absolutely agree. It's horrible when a boyfriend/girlfriend holds someone back. I think that's the reason I always view Pam as such a tragic character.

i HATE Jim. This is such an insightful little story because I can actually see him doing this. Everyone thinks Pam is the weak one but man I really think Jim is the real pussy here. Too scared to try again, so immature that he'd try to hurt someone with sex, cheating on his girlfriend. I really think he has a lot of growing up to do before he's worthy of pam (imho). But after that little rant I'd like to congratulate you on a amazing story, I hope you'll consider continuing this maybe even just as vignettes on what a bastard Jim is/can be- somehow it's oddly satisfying.
You spend your days watching other people fumble over themselves and wade through life without having to actually live your own.

although I'm currently loathing karen in a few other stories, I'm so happy you created a character that appreciates her for who she is. And Jim is an asshole, a gloriously adorable asshole but an asshole all the same. GREAT JOB, one of my new favorite one shots :)

This is a collection of standalone short pieces linked only by the use of a color. The acronym ROYGBIV, in case anyone has forgotten high school optics, stands for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet and describes the colors of a rainbow. None of these pieces is linked to another; they are not chapters in a story. I'm working on some character development/backstory ideas and thought they'd be fun to play with here.
Oh I loved green, and not just because it was Pam. There's something about the scent of gardenia and the obtuseness of the orchid that you just captured here perfectly. I can just picture shy little Pam opening herself up gradually to her plants. That was perfectly lovely.
