This is stunning. Stunning.  I loved it from the first lines, and by the time I got to "She nods, because nothing is ever, ever wrong with Pam Beesly," I was ready to confess my innermost feelings to it in the DM parking lot. This feels real, whatever comes next on the actual show.

So very sweet.

Very, very nicely done. Extremely evocative of that hot, sweaty first love that teenagers do best. We know so much (too much) about Pam's past love life, but this fills in the blanks of Jim's, just a little. Good to have you back!

I usually try to leave comments for every chapter of a multi-part story, but I was too caught up in this to stop! I love your characterizations, here, your use of details we got later in the "real" timeline (Jim's tendency to burst forth unexpectedly, for example), and your deft use of sentence structure and word choice. This is an AU that feels real, because we know that in many respects, this is exactly what happened, emotionally if not in the actions. Lovely, lovely.

“Where are you?”

That? That is sexy, right there. I love this. I love their late-night, When Harry Met Sally type phone calls, and the reason Pam had kept him at arms-length, and how it all just came together. This is good. I loved this from top to bottom, congratulations on a triumph!

“About four blocks away.”

You know, I really enjoy post-breakup Roy fic. And this is a great example, because it hits just the right note of a guy who isn't very introspective trying to sort things out. Not to mention Darryl, who is awesome.

Oh, xoxo, that's just lovely. I love your Pam voice. And you convey the surreality and the ambiguity of the emotions in that moment just beautifully. I mean, even when you've been trying, there's just something about finding out that leaves you stunned. They're going to be brilliant, aren't they? And mostly because they love each other so much- much as I love you and your lovely, fluffy stories!

See,now, Pam is a LOT less cranky than I was at a week past due. If one more person had asked, "So, no baby yet?" I would have killed them. Somehow, around my huge belly, I'd have done murder.

So cute, still. And Jim continues to be perfect, which is comforting. Hee.
