So sweet! I love the idea that Stanley is the grouchy fairy godmother here. Very funny.

Author's Response: \"Grouchy fairy godmother\" ... I hadn\'t thought of it that way, but it is apt indeed. Thanks!

Basically, a Karen story. But I kind of like Karen sometimes… so, yeah.

Well, somehow I missed this piece back in the day. I'm sorry. It was lovely and very much in line with where I ended up with Karen-- she deserved better.

Author's Response: It has been so long since I thought of this story and I am so surprised to see you back. I'm thinking of revisiting this era again soon

Oh, such a pretty picture of happy togetherness. I especially like your Jim voice, here- you have him say things the way he would really say them. It's good. Yay, happy fluff!

Author's Response: Thanks for that! I try hard to get the voices right, so I appreciate that. And, yeah, I guess I\'m in the mood for happy fluff. The world needs more happy fluff. Thanks for reviewing nqllisi! :)

This is absolutely lovely. There something about the imagery you use, the way "his" brain casts around for just the right image even if it isn't obvious, that is just very skillfully done. You capture the heartbreak and the stillness of the 27 seconds perfectly, and the tension of the casino night as well. And if I like Pam's reaction here better? Well, I'm weak, what can I say? Too many beautiful lines to quote, but this one will linger with me, because it feels like life itself:  I love you more than anything, and I know you very well, but I know there are things in that kiss that you're telling me that I won't pick up on tonight, but you'll tell me everything later.

Author's Response:

Hee.  No.  Not at all.  Great minds. :)

It's been ages since I wrote anything - so this was fun.  I'm very glad you found your way back - and even more happy that you liked it.

I usually try to leave comments for every chapter of a multi-part story, but I was too caught up in this to stop! I love your characterizations, here, your use of details we got later in the "real" timeline (Jim's tendency to burst forth unexpectedly, for example), and your deft use of sentence structure and word choice. This is an AU that feels real, because we know that in many respects, this is exactly what happened, emotionally if not in the actions. Lovely, lovely.

Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much for such a lovely review. I am so happy that you are enjoying it, I love trying to crawl into the characters\' heads.

“I’m going to kiss you, Beesly. I’m gonna kiss you so hard you’re gonna wish you had never laid eyes on Leonardo DiCaprio,” he growled threateningly into the phone.

“Where are you?”

That? That is sexy, right there. I love this. I love their late-night, When Harry Met Sally type phone calls, and the reason Pam had kept him at arms-length, and how it all just came together. This is good. I loved this from top to bottom, congratulations on a triumph!

Oooh. This fic is like a nap in the shade on a warm day, just exactly like that. I love revisiting the angsty, wonderful days of season 2 and the joy of now, now when it all is so perfect. You capture both tones and tie them together with a bow. Lovely.

Author's Response: Aw, that\'s a nice metaphor. I love looking at before and after stories, too. They\'re so fun to write, with all that angst and the happy ending too. Glad you liked it! Thanks for letting me know. :)

Oh, xoxo, that's just lovely. I love your Pam voice. And you convey the surreality and the ambiguity of the emotions in that moment just beautifully. I mean, even when you've been trying, there's just something about finding out that leaves you stunned. They're going to be brilliant, aren't they? And mostly because they love each other so much- much as I love you and your lovely, fluffy stories!

Author's Response:

This was so nice you sent it to me thrice. :)  I deleted the other two btw.

So glad you like it.  I'm trying to write a bunch of what I think I'd do...and then make it realistic that Pam would feel the same way.  Hopefully that continues to come across!

Cop out!!

Just kidding. I know what you mean- I love to write spec, but I don't always want to have to be wrong! Anyway, whenever, however it happens, this is how she'll feel about it, so it is undeniably true. Beautiful, as usual.

Author's Response:

Whatever.  :)    That's the thing.  I knew I'd end up taking liberties here (see latest chapter) but this is one thing I want to let the writers handle.  I could make it elaborate and I know they'll make it simple and vice versa.

Thank you for your continued support.  It is very much appreciated.

See,now, Pam is a LOT less cranky than I was at a week past due. If one more person had asked, "So, no baby yet?" I would have killed them. Somehow, around my huge belly, I'd have done murder.

So cute, still. And Jim continues to be perfect, which is comforting. Hee.

Author's Response: Well maybe real Pam will mimic you more than my version. :)  I thought about her being all cranky - but I wanted it to be sweet too.  Talking about Mr Perfect seemed to make that easier.   So glad you liked it.
