This is something I could see. I've had those same doubts about Phyllis myself, and it's neat that you wrote a story about it.  I loved these lines:

You know, I'm pretty good at petty and stupid

Karen held up that god awful green bra and panties outfit and Phyllis smiled and said “Jim's gonna love that” - and then made some giggle that made my flesh crawl

I enjoyed it, moxie!  And look, we're past April 10th now! :) 

I hope you do this from Jim's POV.  It would be really interesting. 

I'm catching up with reading a bit and I thought I'd check this out, particularly since it's such an interesting premise.  You're doing a really good job with this, especially showing Pam figuring out how she feels. 

I like it.  The different perspectives are interesting; I was surprised who the first one was. :)

Interesting.  The story is good, and the "in love"/"love" paragraph is interesting.  I'm not sure I agree with it entirely, because I do think it was love before, but it's interesting.

Nice job. 

How sad.  Well-written, though.  I'm not sure why people think Jim's being a jerk (regarding Chapter 1 reviews); a grief like this would be terrible, and his reaction in general I think is realistic.

And I'm not going anywhere near that site.  I breathed an enormous sigh of relief when all my children were past the age where they could die of SIDS, and I have no interest in putting myself through that.  It's bad enough thinking about all the other things that could happen to them.  You mentioned in this chapter "a parent's endless love," but of course we also have a constant fear.

How sad the end is, unfold!  I know you've marked this complete.  I have to assume that this isn't the end for Jim and Pam, though, and they would ultimately be back together.  This had better not happen on the real show, or I will burn Utica to the ground.  You did a nice job making me all sad, though. ;)

I had to read this a few times, and then luckily saw the Jim/Pam AU so I was sure who Jim was actually with.  (I sometimes miss the subtle approach.)  So once I saw that, I liked this. 

One thing I wasn't sure about.  When it says "He wanted to shout: If you knew what I knew . . ." I wasn't really sure what he knew that would make a difference.  I assume Pam was hesitating because of Karen.  She shouldn't. ;)

I like this a lot: "She couldn’t look at him across a room like that, leave him disoriented, crazy to do something crazy, without something igniting."  I prefer thinking that Jim would have excused himself from Karen's company and gone to see why Pam was looking at him like that. 

What, no "If I said you had a good body, would you hold it against me?"

Michael should have a World's Hottest Boss mug.  They probably sell them at Spencer Gifts.

Welcome back, Muggins.  Stick around, please.  We need you.  Not like Michael thinks he needs Pam, though. ;)

This is beautifully written.  Absolutely gorgeous. 

And yet, if this happens, I will burn Utica to the ground.  The other possibility is that every single piece of copier paper in this town is going to have the F-word on it. The F-word.  You have one day.

I also would be extremely mad at Pam.  I'd want to kick her in her Fancy New Beesly ass.

Ha!  Jim and Pam arguing about politics.  I like that.  But I also like that they don't really get mad at each other.

I like it!  And man, is it timely.  If Jim and Pam were real (What?  You mean they're not?) they'd be getting up tomorrow and going to vote.  Or maybe voting and grabbing lunch at Cugino's.  Maybe after work on the way to one of their regular places.  MAYBE...Jim will propose by leaving the ring in the voting booth and making sure Pam goes in after him. ;)  (Nope, no way to be sure.)  Epilogue? :)
