A reimagining of the episode "Gossip" and all those sweet, sweet rumors.

It’s 1964, and Jim Halpert honestly believes his only calling in life is to inherit his family’s appliance store, with a passion for jazz music and drumming on the side. Opportunity knocks in the form of a drumming gig for a band performing at a local college talent show, bringing the group recognition for the song they play. But, with the four of them and the lead singer’s adorable, redheaded girlfriend leading the charts by storm, what will come of their newfound fame?

Following a crushing showing at the art exhibition, Pam is offered a new path forward by her instructor. Finding confidence and a renewed sense of self worth, she is afforded the opportunity to break free from an oppressive and toxic environment. What happens when Jim stumbles intor this alternative life and witnesses her growth firsthand? (Late Season 3 - AU)

What happened after Jim "struck gold" during his job interview in New York (season 3 finale) and before Pam went mining for celebrity sex tapes (season 4 opener), this chapter by chapter WIP has the story told through many points of view - none of them from the documentary film crew. 

Jim and Pam, Hallmark(tm) movie style. Set in the S2 Christmas break (after the Christmas party, before the Booze Cruise). Canon-compliant until then, though with my own interpretation of how that break went, but it's a Hallmark Christmas movie so we all know how it's going to end.
